Impartiality is not merely a stated principle — it is a system built and maintained to ensure every AISI certification decision is made purely on objective evidence, without compromise.
As an independent Certification Body, PT AWARD Indonesian Sustainability Initiative (PT AISI) places impartiality and objectivity as the highest pillar in all certification system operations, for both ISPO and SVLK schemes.
PT AISI's top management is fully committed to managing conflict of interest risks, ensuring assessment fairness, and guaranteeing that all certification decisions are made purely on the basis of objective field evidence, free from any form of commercial, financial, or external pressure.
To ensure absolute independence and avoid conflicts of interest, PT AISI applies very strict operational boundaries for all its personnel and legal entities.
PT AISI and all parts of its legal entity are strictly prohibited from offering, providing, or assisting in the design, implementation, specialized training, or maintenance of management systems for organizations that are its customers.
Personnel who have been involved in providing management system consultancy or internal audits to a company within the last 2 (two) years are not permitted to participate in audit activities or certification decision-making for that client.
PT AISI strictly prohibits any form of claims or indications from any party stating that certification at PT AISI will be easier, faster, or cheaper if using certain consultants. All processes are carried out purely based on applicable official procedures.
As a safeguard for impartiality independent from the company's executive structure, PT AISI has established an Impartiality Committee (IC) formally ratified by top management.
The IC conducts reviews at least once a year of PT AISI's audit, certification, and decision-making processes to anticipate commercial considerations that may compromise the institution's objectivity.
The IC has full access to all certification system documents and financial reports needed to optimally fulfill its function as an independent overseer.
If PT AISI's top management does not respect the IC's recommendations, the committee has the formal right to take independent action — including reporting to the KAN accreditation body or relevant stakeholders.
The PT AISI Impartiality Committee is composed as a panel with representation from various credible stakeholder elements in their respective fields.
